Ordering and getting your site live

Ok, you've decided you want to proceed and have a site made, so what's next?

I make every effort to ensure the entire process is as quick and painless as possible for you and there are just a few steps required to getting your site live.

1. Choose your domain name

GO TO STEP 2 IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A DOMAIN

You can check for available domain names by clicking here. Remeber you get a free .co.uk. domain name included in the design cost but you can have a different domain type at an additional charge

You do not need to register the domain name as I will do this on your behalf when you confirm your order. if you particularly want to register your chosen domain yourself then registering it with Names Co means that if you do decide to use my services, then the domain transfer is immediate and free (some hosts charge for transfers).

This is partcularly important with domains other than .co.uk which cannot be moved for 60 days after registration.

2. Choose your design

You can view the available designs on the 'designs' page. You may also find it useful to see what other instructors are doing with their sites and you can look at some live examples on the Portfolio page.

3. Get a draft site made (optional)

Without obligation, by completing the 'Get a draft site' form, you can supply information needed to create an initial design for you. This will not be a finished site but will be close enough for you to decide whether to go ahead.

The draft will be available for 2 weeks but this can be extended upon request.

4. Approve draft & make payment

If you requested a draft, an e-mail containing a link to the draft site and full details of prices and the other options available such as

If you are happy with the draft, you can make an online payment from the 'Buy now' page which is added to the draft (Payment is prefered via PayPal - does not required you to have an account).

6. Site goes live

Once payment has been made, the site will be completed, usually within 5 working days depending on how quickly you can supply information on the changes you want.

Changes to live site

Unlike the vast majority of web designers, I give a years free updates for your site. Although you have the facility to change many aspects yourself we this can include changes to text and images in existing pages. The only potential costs you may incur during this period are for additional facilities or services you want added.

Payment methods

Payments are prefered using a credit / debit card via PayPal or by Bank transfer. If you want to make a bank transfer, then please let me know and I will supply the appropriate information.
