Take card payments from your site

By allowing your pupils or their parents to pay for lessons & courses by credit or debit card, you could potentially increase your business and is a positive way of promoting block bookings.

PayPal on your site

When you have an account set up I can then do the necessary changes to enable payments to be made through your site.

I will require your unique merchant ID which is available from the 'Profile' section of your PayPal account. When done, a PayPal payment button will automatically be added for each of the lessons / courses you have in your prices page. These buttons are automatically updated when you edit your prices. You can opt not to have buttons for particular prices for example, if you want to show current test fees but do not want this paid to you.

How do you get your payments?

When a payment is made, PayPal send an automated email advising you the appropriate details. You can then log into your PayPal account and withdraw the available funds (in full or in part) into your bank account. Transfers take approximately 3 working days to reach your account and there is an option to have this fast tracked (PayPal charge a £5 fee for this next day service).

Commission costs

As with any card transaction, taking credit card payments incurs a commission fee from PayPal which is currently 3.4% + 20p per transaction. This is taken off the payment when it is made to you. There are no additional or ongoing fees involved with the exception of a 25p charge where less that £50 is being withdrawn.

Setting up a PayPal business account is a quick & painless process which when done, allows you to immediately take payments online
